Japan’s Most Popular Cake

Also known as the Japanese Christmas cake, the strawberry shortcake is usually found at every street corner of Japan during the silly season. Consisting of layers of sponge cake filled with strawberry and whipped cream, it’s hard to fathom why it wouldn’t be popular.

Maybe it’s a bit of nostalgia for me, but if you ever ask me what my favourite cake is, it is the Japanese strawberry shortcake. I used to make this at home every year for my family, and the joy on everyone’s faces always made me so happy. I hope that sharing this will bring happiness to everyone that tries it.

We currently have it available in three different flavours. Matcha, chocolate, and original.

They are available for order now. Each cake is made to order, but if you drop by, we may have a slice or two for you to try.
